The Force Curve shows a nonlinear force response that is consistent with the unfolding of the modular construction of Titin (sawtooth pattern) (Kellermayer et al., 1997; Rief et al., 1997; Tskhovrebova et al., 1997). The last peak is usually much higher than the preceding peaks due to the detachment of the adsorbed molecule from the tip.
