JPK announces the hire of their first Asian employee to be based in Singapore.
Lawrence Tan, formerly Asian sales manager for Veeco Instruments, has joined JPK Instruments AG, to take responsibility for all Asian sales and marketing activities to support JPK's growing installed base of advanced nanotechnology solutions for the life sciences community.
Commenting on this expansion of global operations, JPK General Sales Manager, Dr Gerd Behme, said the company was very pleased to have secured the services of such an experienced and respected professional. "We are looking forward to continuing to grow our customer base through active participation throughout the region. Asia represents a large portion of the world scientific markets and we will play a more active part within it.”
Central to the JPK product line is the new NanoWizard®II BioAFM. This is truly the next generation AFM system for biological and soft matter applications. It provides state-of-the-art AFM functionality like high resolution imaging, force measurements, nanomanipulation and lithography, all seamlessly integrated with advanced optical imaging provided by inverted optical microscopes. A whole range of fluid-cells, temperature control options and advanced AFM modes make it extremely versatile for all applications where performance and ease of use is key. Dedicated modules for advanced optical spectroscopy and Tip enhanced experiments are also available.
To complement the BioAFM techniques, JPK will also promote a range of force measurement and characterization solutions for the life sciences. The ForceRobot® offer automation of advanced single molecule force spectroscopy to provide statistically viable data on ten thousands of measurements in a single batch.
Also JPK have launched the first commercial dedicated optical tweezers and particle tracking platform, NanoTracker™, a measurement technique with highest temporal and spatial resolution applied to nanoparticles, biomolecules and cells.
