2011-02-01 | JPK announce new personnel and distributors in Asia

Dr Philip Lui, JPK’s new applications specialist based in Singapore.
JPK Instruments, a world-leading manufacturer of nanoanalytic instrumentation for research in life sciences and soft matter is pleased to announce the expansion of their operations in Asia with new staff in Singapore and distributors in Korea and Malaysia to increase their support to users.

As JPK continues to expand its markets in Asia, new resources have recently been put in place to provide increased applications and service support to their increasing user base. JPK’s Asian office, which is headquartered in Singapore, has appointed Dr. Philip Yj Liu. Dr. Liu received his PhD from National University of Singapore where his research included protein-induced DNA bending, compaction of DNA in white spot syndrome virus, DNA binding/ ionic switching and many other life science- related applications. During his research, he gained a lot of experience using AFM and building a magnetic tweezers system.


Lotis Korea has been appointed as JPK’s exclusive representatives in Korea. Lotis Korea is a privately held, well established Korea distributor company with many years experience supplying scientific instrumentation. Their experienced team has established a good reputation in the market, particularly in the fields of electron and optical microscopy. CEO, Mr. H. J. Seo said, “We are continually looking for high quality instrumentation to complement our product line. It is indeed an honor for us to represent JPK in the Korea market. We believe strongly that we will achieve success working together.”

In Malaysia, JPK has appointed KL Analytical Sdn Bhd, as their exclusive representatives. KL Analytical is a privately held, well established and successful distributor in Malaysia. The company supplies a range of scientific equipment to both the academic and industrial research community. CEO of KL Analytical, Mr. K. L. Chan says “The Malaysian government is investing to grow the level of research in field of nano and biotechnology. With KL Analytical’s large customer base and strong support team working together with JPK’s top quality, high-end AFM and optical tweezers systems, we form a good partnership to succeed in this growing market.”
